The KLIM Dakar Jacket has been a staple for dual-sport riders, racers and lightweight travelers since its initial release. KLIM went back to the drawing board with one clear objective: Comprehensive Versatility - a light, ventilated solution for multiple seasons of Enduro and Dual-Sport riding.

The New Dakar Jacket is significantly lighter and more flexible than its predecessor. Karbonite Micromesh stretch woven nylon makes up large parts of the chassis. It offers excellent mobility and a specific air permeability, effective but not too much. Together with its zip-off sleeves and a tail pouch storage space, the Dakar Jacket is a great choice for warm weather and even when temperatures peak. Light weight Ripstop overlays in key areas provide great durability and all the protection needed without any restrictions in mobility.

3M™ Scotchlite™ Carbon Black reflective material offers low-profile appearance until illuminated, adding safety when needed but maintaining clean looks otherwise. A protectorpocket system provides the option for a fully armored Jacket. However, the Dakar Jacket is tailored to fit over an off-road armor suit and the armor pockets remain low profile when not in use. For cold temperatures and extended rain, a KLIM Stow Away or Forecast overshell will complete the kit and create a waterproof, windproof barrier from the elements.

The new Dakar Jacket ends up being fantastically versatile, creating a link between trails and pavement without the compromises of light jerseys or full GORE-TEX® Jackets. KLIM engineered the Dakar Jacket with rider focused functionality that inspires confidence at 100 mph through the desert, or crawling up nasty single tracks. It’s ruthlessly rugged and built to dominate any terrain.
