Perfect Introduction for Cyril Genot

Cyril Genot finished 2nd overall at the Winter Cup in Dolle last weekend behind regular GP contender Henry Jacobi.

First race of 2017, first time with Falcon Motorsport and first race on a 350cc.

Cyril had no pressure on his shoulder. He went racing to see where his level is and most of all to be back behind a gate. Though the rain the entire previous week announced a difficult race on the sand track of Dolle.
The weekend started well for Cyril, on Saturday he qualified 3rd, which helped him to have, good start gate on Sunday.
Naturally, Cyril felt a bit of stressed before the first moto. Stressed from the 5 months without racing and for his first race in the new class and first race in front of his new Team Manager.
Thanks to his good qualifying Cyril had a good gate allowing him to point 2nd at the first corner. Few laps later he got stopped by a rider who crashed in front of him and lost few places just to come back and finish 3rd behind Henry Jacobi and Jaromir Romancik.
Another good start during the 2nd moto, Cyril spent 20 minutes fighting for the lead with Jacobi and Romancik to end up 3rd.
Final race of the day, Cyril was 4th at the first corner, worked his way up to 2nd and would keep this place until the chequered flag.

Dolle has been a very promising first test for the 2017 season. Though the track conditions have been very demanding, the rider and his new bike worked together nearly perfect.

Next race, next week, ONK in Lochem.
